I helped grow our school-age program and organized summer camps and preschool camps to full capacity, as well as all our transportation needs, including training for other school-age teachers and drivers to obtain a commercial license, youth bus certificate through the CHP, and passenger endorsements from the DMV. Eventually, I was promoted to Assistant Director, which was such an easy transition for me since I had been there for seven years and worked in every program and classroom. As a school-age teacher at a private school, such as this, you end up being utilized during the day within the school year to cover breaks and lunches for other teachers, as well as being a support teacher to ensure ratios are being met. I enjoyed working at this location for 16 years until I transferred to our Murrieta school, which was much closer to home.
