In Summary, I have been working with dogs for many years. My own dog has achieved her CGC, Urban CGC, Community Canine and multiple trick titles. I have done many private sessions and attended seminars through the German Shepherd Dog Club of Minneapolis St. Paul to further my training. I helped run and at one point I was one of the partners in the GSD monthly workshops that help dogs in many different ways. By running an organization that also helps dogs in need, I do a lot of training with them as well. I have worked and studied under Denise Hansen at Hansen Kennels to grow my knowledge of other breeds.
I have worked for my families construction business for almost 35 years. I mainly do the office work, which includes payroll, putting together construction proposals and paying the bills. I have been a dog trainer in different capacities for the last 7 years on and off and am looking to get back into the field now that I have more time to provide for my passion of training dogs. I make my own schedule and just do my work from home now, and can be very flexible with my time.

I run a 501c3 organization called Skylar's Scholarships. This organization helps dogs that are in need of medical attention, training and rescuing. I started this organization in 2019 after being with another rescue group. I saw a need for dogs with medical problems and seeing that my own dog is a medical dog (she has IBD) I wanted to help others who were going through medical difficulties. This includes animals in other rescue organizations and some families that need extra support.
