Subsea Team Lead

  • My current role is Subsea Technical Authority/ Subsea IM team Lead for the GOM core integrity team at Hess co-operation
  • My overall responsibility is to manage, lead and deliver Subsea Integrity management activities for the Hess operating assets extending to the Offshore Gulf –of –Mexico subsea
  • This includes the successful execution and completion of 2 major life Extensions projects on two assets
  • Managing and co-ordinating and delivery of integrity management services including Inspections planning/ report reviews, risk assessments review/workshops, developing and inspection strategy plans, detailed engineering assessments such as fatigue assessments, span assessments, corrosion assessments, criteria, etc
  • Manage overall pipeline system integrity and coordinate the interfaces with other disciplines in support of determining the pipeline assets are fit for continued service;
  • Delivering and leading key engineering projects including VP level dashboarding reporting in major company’s quarterly reviews demonstrating asset production assurance and growth requirements;
  • Implementing and managing further development of subsea softwares to meet the company’s requirements for subsea integrity such as Cognite, PCMS, Nexus and various BI tooling
  • Ensuring the facility is in compliance with BSEE Regulations and demonstrating HSSE Leadership relating to SIP IM projects and ensuring the facility is in compliance with all regulations with regards to subsea;
  • Liaison with BSEE to understand specific regulated requirements to help the asset in adhering to 100% compliance;
  • Execution and managing of Field Life Extension Studies with Conger, Baldpate and NW and Tulane assets;
  • Day-to-day management of the Subsea equipment and infrastructure from Onshore, and the co-ordination of subsea inspection and intervention activities to deliver safe and reliable production during the lifetime of the asset;
  • Manage implementation and update of pipeline/flowlines' integrity management program to achieve and sustain compliance with regulatory bodies such as BSEE;
  • Determining and managing the services required to support the operation and maintenance of the subsea assets and ensuring the required contracts are in place
  • To include Remote Operating Vehicle (ROV) tooling, Subsea Wall thickness scanning, LIDAR inspections, ILI Pigging, AUV inspections, etc
  • Project managing and delivery of all required subsea intervention activities by providing guidance and liaison with the execution team vessel representative and engineering team discipline responsible engineers and contractors;
  • Addressing and managing all outstanding integrity issues which are causing a threat to continued safe operations and production for the Hess contract by managing and accessing the effect on pipelines/flowlines/risers integrity of any changes to the process, equipment or operating environment;
  • Managing accurate view and documented status of pipeline condition, including the location and nature of any anomalies and assess the effect of any changes to process, equipment or operating environment;
  • Managing accurate representation of all risks and uncertainties with regards to the pipeline systems integrity and the status of associated risk barriers and mitigation actions;
  • Manage overall pipeline system integrity and coordinate the interfaces with other disciplines in support of determining the pipeline assets are fit for continued service
  • Ensure integrity-related projects are meaningful in providing ongoing integrity assurance and adding value with respect to life of assets to the Hess assets;

  • Clamp and gel repair, cofferdam repairs for splashzone components;
