Lisa Hilas

Saving Gracie is a 501c3 non-profit organization that I founded in 2015. Our mission is to provide grants to families and individuals for emergency veterinary care when they are facing economic euthanasia. I am proud to have built this with a strong, dedicated and loyal board of directors who are still with me to this day. I have managed every aspect of the organization from initial articles of incorporation, business strategy, fundraising and our veterinary partnership program known as WAG, Working Angels for Gracie.

• Automated systems from a completely paper process to digital during the pandemic
• Was granted $50,000 in ARPA fundingto create arts program with an economic stimulous for Downtown Vacaville
• Developed an Artist in Residency Program
• Developed a Fiscal Sponsorship Program for local community arts groups
• Developed Synergy Adaptive Arts Program for children with cognitive disabilities
• Produced over 10shows including a health-equity forum for people to learn about heart health and become CPR certified
