Summary

I was a preschool teacher for over ten years working with both neuro-typical and neurodiverse children. I have worked for five years with children with disabilities in a residential setting as well as ten years providing case management to support transition-aged youth with disabilities to create and accomplish personal goals by advocating and connecting to local resources, employment, and independence skills training for long-term success. I have solid written and verbal communication skills, including crisis communication and motivational interviewing. I have had extensive training in behavioral management while completing assessments, and implementing behavioral plans while tracking data in correlation with ABA therapy. I am knowledgeable in trauma-informed care.

I have established relationships with local schools' special education departments and a strong rapport with special education teachers. I have had extensive training on IEP laws, both state and federal. I have a strong community network and I am familiar with local resources and activities that are low to no cost.
