I have extensive background in customer service. I am a reliable, trustworthy and dependable person. I can multi-task , problem solve and have great time management skills. I enjoy working with other people and tend to be a team leader. There is nothing I am not willing to learn to get the job done.
I manage a small coin shop in Laguna Woods. We sell old and rare coins as well as gold and silver bullion. I assist customers in finding the items they are searching for , I do special orders for out of stock items, I take in a lot of cash so my money counting skills are excellent. And I know how to count change back to a customer without the use of a calculator. I am honest and therefore left to work by myself most of the time.
I started at FedEx working at the call center answering the phones where I would open new accounts, schedule pick ups, trace lost packages and file claims. After three years I transferred to a station where I had customer contact. There I would accept packages from customers, deliver hold packages, follow up with the courriers on misplaced packages, as well as report to managers on day to day transactions. After 7 years I transferred to work at LAX airport where I worked just weekends. There as a ramp agent I would organize the freight that was to go on each flight out, I would coordinate with the workers below on how much freight to load in each container. I had to organize the containers according to the location it was going to. I had to talk with the pilots about the load, how heavy it was, how much fuel do they want and what time their expected departure is scheduled. Frequently I would have to call other locations across the states if we had delays to advise when they should expect the plane. I also had many reports on a daily basis that went out to managers and senior managers that had to go out hourly and than a final report summarizing the whole weekend.
This was a small family business that sold watches and clocks. I would get to know what the customer was looking for in a watch and help them find the perfect fit for themselves or if it was a gift. I also assisted customers bringing items in for repair. I would follow up with the customer on the quote for their repair , and than call them when it was completed. I did most of the training for new employees, as well as ordering business supplies. I was trusted to take the deposits to the bank as well as manage the books on the bills due. I learned how to listen to customers and acknowledge their concerns and complaints. I learned how to work out the problem with the customer and negotiate a happy ending, most of the time.
