Core role - preparing science experiments and equipment for pupils within a high school science department.

Requires:

• Effectively communicating with teachers to ensure their requested experiment is delivered to a high standard and in a timely manner.
• Every day requires working as part of a larger team (science department), a small team (technicians), and individually.
• The role requires a lot of proactivity and motivation as your day is individually lead.
• Mainly practical work - long hours on feet, heavy lifting and constant movement is common.
• Common tasks are as follows - making up standard chemical solutions and decanting chemicals with accurancy for science experiments. Generating gases, level 3 microscopy work, microscopy slide preparation and dissection preparation.
• High level of precaution and attention to detail is required. All work is undertaken with the utmost care when dealing with hazardous chemicals. Safety precautions must be followed in line with technician protocol.
• Computer-based tasks are also undertaken to input chemicals into the electronic database and take stock counts.

Additionally – I assist with the advanced higher science twilight sessions after working hours, deliver science demonstrations for the young people, assist the teachers with science delivery at local primary schools and assist with level 3 microbiology training courses for teaching staff and technicians.

After the 2020 pandemic RYZE was taken over by the Wonder World Group where I worked the same role.

Additional skills gained from new site -

• Gained experience working in a cafe environment where I became barista trained.
• Demonstrated strong multitasking skills in fast-paced environment.
• Monitored product expiration dates and removed outdated stock.
• Maintained cleanliness and orderliness of the sales floor and stockroom areas.
• Unloaded shipments from delivery trucks and verified contents against packing slips.

• Day to day tasks include remaining focused and stimulated with particular attention to detail for long periods of time to guarantee injuries or queries are given immediate attention.
• Constant public engagement with guests is required to ensure a positive experience is created from start to finish.
• To ensure this occurs, excellent communication skills, both with guests and between staff members is crucial.
• Speaking with large groups of individuals when briefing the safety rules as well as hosting group fitness classes and children’s birthday parties, this role requires impeccable customer service skills, attentiveness, and individuality to ensure overall guest satisfaction.

• Responsibilities include: - Analysis of electrical assets and network data working with complex structures, manipulating, and cleansing data on bespoke ESRI software for Scottish Power using Q-GIS.
• Striving to a weekly quality output of 98% and daily productivity target whilst taking on the role remotely.
• Interpretation of jointer sketches requires a vast amount of problem solving and patience.
• Communication with your team along-side extreme attention to detail is key to ensure the job is completed to the highest of standards as there is little room for error when it comes to live cable placements.
• The instability of real time scenarios allows for a very rapid change of pace, therefore, the ability to adapt effectively to the given task is imperative.
• Using the software ADQM as a data investigator to inspect large excel files to manage the data security of Scottish Power customers to ensure customer information remained confidential.
