During my time at BYU, I worked in three different research labs, soaked up knowledge through my time in class, and spent my final semester as a teaching assistant. In addition, my time in the halls of learning was supplemented by my experiences as a blue-collar worker. During which, I was fortunate enough to learn many lessons, such as hard work, diligence, leadership and teamwork.

- Worked in the BYU Sleep Consortium under Dr. Daniel Kay. Our research focused on whether or not poor sleeping habits had any correlation with obesity and or appetite.
- Responsibilities: My responsibilities included but were not limited to: conducting intake appointments, assisting graduate students during research interventions, working with MRI technology (EKG and fMRI), assisting on cognitive testing, and recruiting research participants.
- Reached level two in BYU MRI certification and completed the required training for research regarding human subjects.

- Became CPR Certified, trained in procuring and storing saliva samples.
