Learned all of my medical skills while in the military and graduated tops in my designation. Received the training of a civilian LVN/LPN.
My designation taught me medical triage, bandaging wounds, sub shots, IM shots, Blood pressure cuff application, drainage of fluids from the lung or heart sack, the 3Rs' right room, right medication, right person.
I really enjoyed my military career but love got in my way we said our vows in 1973. I had to make the hard decision in that year as our daughter was born in 1974. I could not deal with the Army, a new husband, and a new baby hence I stepped down from the Army.
