  • Currently an RN with an "extended role" in podiatry-orthopedics, working with much atonomy in pro limb salvaging clinic
  • Assistant Ortho/POD Charge Nurse - as needed
  • Patient and caregiver education on proper home wound care, ordering supplies or home health as needed for complex wound care treatment.
  • Perform wound debridement and alert attending physician if concerns arise. Obtaining and ordering cultures, ordering xrays and proper shoes/inserts as needed
  • Ultrasonic Arobella wound therapy when appropriate
  • MINC (medically indicated nail care) post wound healing to help prevent future toe/foot injury
