I have worked in the mental health field since 2009, beginning as a crisis therapist with ThirdLevel crisis center in Traverse City. I have worked as a therapist at Child and Family Services and with North Country Community Mental Health providing direct therapy services to children and adults with considerable experience in working with trauma, severe persistent mental illness or severe emotional disturbance, those involved in criminal justice or child welfare agency, as well as those with intellectual or developmental disabilities. I As a center supervisor, I am responsible for the immediate clinical oversee of staff within the Kalkaska County office. As a therapist, I have provided intervention for crisis and emergency services for screening and assessment for potential psychiatric hospitalization, sometimes utilizing involuntary process when necessary. I am passionate about the care and advocacy I provide in a clinical setting and continue to pursue with the work I provide.
-Oversee immediate clinical operations for therapists and case managers for the Kalkaska county CMH office
-provide supervision, clinical guidance and consultation for clinicians including training and development of new staff.
-Ensure documentation and reporting of clinical records are maintained in accordance with compliance measures and align with agency goals.

-Oversee and manage logistics of scheduling and provision of psychiatric services for adult and child/adolescent providers for Kalkaska NCCMH.
-Support and develop a cohesive team atmosphere to maintain and provide quality services and teamwork.
-Provided individual, joint session and family session therapy to Children infancy thru adult, including but not limited to those involved in the child welfare system.
-Worked collaboratively with other mental health facilities and providers, courts, school and community partners to provide comprehensive clinical services.
-Ensured professional and timely documentation and maintaining of electronic health records
-Conducted assessment including diagnostics for individuals seen as well as person centered treatment planning.
-provide immediate supervision and clinical consultation for other therapists
-Responsible for screening and assigning Behavioral Health referrals
-Addressing insurance and funding sources for providing services under appropriate qualification.
-Provide Crisis intervention and immediate crisis counseling for those persons in mental distress who contact the crisis center via phone or in-person.
-Providing suicide risk assessment and/or suicide intervention when necessary
-Responding to immediate safety risks as appropriate with contact of Emergency Services
-Providing appropriate information and referral to resources and supports within the community.
