During high school, I was tasked by my mother to translate Chinese chemical company websites. She works as a business manager for a chemical company and wanted to present the information that I gleaned from their Chinese competitors. I worked for 2 months on this project and translated multiple websites that were exclusively in Chinese, and became familiar with translating technical jargon. This experience pushed me to pursue job opportunities where I can do research as an analyst using my Chinese language skills as I am passionate about this kind of work.
