  • As a Heavy Equipment Operator, I am responsible for leading and executing various operations across airport facilities with a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and compliance.
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead snow removal teams responsible for clearing lead-in lines and ID boxes on de-ice pads.
  • Direct chemical truck operations on the west side taxiways during cautionary snow events.
  • Act as supervisor in the absence of both the AFT Supervisor and AFT Lead, including delegating tasks, assigning equipment, and ensuring jobs are completed efficiently and safely.
  • Coordinate and set up operational closures to address Part 139 deficiencies such as spall repairs, crack sealing, mowing, FOD removal, and rubber removal.
  • Coordinate closures for inbound and outbound Peña Boulevard operations.

  • Perform general maintenance duties, including Fence repair, trash removal, power washing, mowing and basic construction.
  • Operate a variety of heavy equipment, including Front-end loaders, backhoes, excavators, skid steers, graders, telescopic forklifts, street sweepers, and Airforce 1.
  • Operate specialized snow removal equipment on ramps, lead-in lines, taxiways, and runways, such as: MB1s, MB2s, MB5s, MB5Cs, Runway brooms, Snow blowers, Chemical trucks, and sand trucks.
  • Support additional street maintenance duties as needed.
