I worked for 4 months in residential electrical projects, where I was responsible for running wiring systems, installing outlets, switches, and light fixtures, and performing terminations to ensure proper functionality and safety. My work included reading and following electrical plans, organizing cable runs, and using proper tools and materials to meet code standards. I also assisted in troubleshooting minor issues, verifying connections, and testing installations to guarantee reliable performance in residential settings. In addition, I worked for Gridworks in Las Lunas, New Mexico, on residential solar panel installations, where I was involved in mounting solar modules, routing and connecting DC and AC wiring, installing inverters, grounding systems, and ensuring proper sealing and weatherproofing of roof penetrations. I also participated in testing solar system performance, verifying connections, and ensuring compliance with manufacturer specifications and local/state electrical and solar codes. This combination of tasks sharpened my skills in electrical craftsmanship, safety protocols, and renewable energy system installation.

I worked for one year as an Automotive Mechanic, performing a wide range of repair and maintenance tasks. My responsibilities included diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, conducting routine inspections, replacing brakes, tires, and suspension components, and performing engine tune-ups. In addition, I rebuilt engines, removed and installed transmissions, and carried out complete engine replacements, ensuring proper alignment and functionality. I also repaired cooling systems, performed oil and fluid services, and verified that all vehicles met safety and performance standards. This role gave me hands-on experience with both general maintenance and advanced mechanical work, strengthening my problem-solving skills and technical knowledge in the automotive field.
