Project And Lab Experience

  • Photonics and Fiber Optic Communications: Performed power analysis on LED networks; characterized output efficiency and link budget. Conducted light detection experiments using photodiodes, photoresistors, optocouplers, and photometers. Measured fiber coupling losses (misalignment, gap distance, NA mismatch). Familiarity with Ansys Zemax OpticStudio. Applied photodiode, fiber communications, and optical noise principles to characterize signal to noise ratio.
  • Electronic Test Instrumentation/ Data Acquisition Systems: Configured data acquisition (DAQ) systems with signal conditioning to measure and analyze physical phenomena. Designed LabVIEW virtual instruments to automate tests, control loads, and log data. Used oscilloscopes, function generators, and spectrum analyzers to validate circuits.
  • RF & Microwave Systems: Operated vector network analyzer (VNA) and spectrum analyzer to characterize RF components measuring S-parameters, insertion loss, and return loss. Proficiency in high frequency measurement techniques, including calibration and error correction. Analyzed signal behavior in transmission lines, passive components, signal integrity and impedance matching
  • Control Systems: Designed and tested feedback control systems to maintain desired outputs for system stability and response analysis.
