A focused, dependable and hard working Utility Engineer currently employed at 3 Embarcadero Center looking for an Apprentice Engineer position. Furthermore, obtained the Fire Pump Test, Hi Rise Fire Safety Director and Building Systems certifications.
Responsible for maintenance and repairs of the building under the direction of the Chief and Assistant Chief Engineer. In charge of keeping lighting/ballast repair work orders on daily basis and completed in timely manner. Experienced in plumbing (snaking, vacuum breakers, diaphragms and angler stop replacement) locksmithing (repining locks and cutting keys), soldering, painting, hanging whiteboards and pictures, door repairs, window caulking, ceiling tile repair, PVC bracket replacement. Sand filters, AHU, pot feeder, chiller and drinking fountain filter replacement. Coupon replacement for condenser line as well as manage weekly Chem testing for the water system. Certified to utilize the Boom lift and Man lift on the exterior of the building. Under supervision of Journeyman Engineers, assisted in PRV and fan motors rebuilding, fire sprinkler drain downs and refills, Fire Pump testing and Cooling Towers cleaning. Experienced with rigging and working the lighting drop installation on the exterior of the building during Christmas season.
Performed customer service duties at the Embarcadero Center buildings as directed. Knowledge of Life Safety System panels, elevator layout, fire alarm locations as well as mechanical and electrical rooms. Proficient in using two-way radios to communicate with Security, Engineering and Janitorial departments.
