I am a student at the University of Maryland, College Park, pursuing a degree in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics. After graduating from high school, I took a nontraditional path by moving to Moab, Utah, where I worked on a goat farm. This experience challenged me to become independent, adapt quickly, think creatively, and develop discipline. Taking a chance on myself, I stepped into the world without the safety net of family and friends, and that nearly two-year adventure fostered a level of maturity and real-world experience I likely would not have gained through a traditional college route. During this time, I built strong connections and lasting friendships by working closely with others, adapting to new environments, and engaging with diverse perspectives. Still, I realized something was missing, which led me back to academics with a clearer sense of purpose and direction. I now bring critical thinking, reliability, strong interpersonal skills, and a solid work ethic into professional settings. I am eager to apply both my real-world experience and academic training in a hands-on internship where I can learn, contribute, and continue to grow.
