I have worked in the construction field for 5 years. I stay focused on my tasks and completing them the right way, efficiently. I was a crew lead / specialist, providing me with great skills that allow me to be very adaptable. I’m driven by my work ethic and have a strong willingness to do what needs to be done for my employer. I have basic experience in working on small engines and air compressors because of my trade. My job required a lot of precision, such as level 5 finishing, which is part of what I specialized in.
I started as a laborer, and quickly climbed to a crew lead / specialist within my first two years. We primarily textured new construction. I’ve done everything regarding drywall. I had to pull rigs and sprayed the texture with those rigs. I was in charge of my crew. We sanded the mud, masked the job, I textured the job and then cleaned it. We would do about three jobs a day. I also ran my own patch / finishing crew. I had to be very flexible. I worked from 4 in the morning to 10 at night for a while during my first 2-3 years.
