Professional Experience

Leadership / Supervision

  • Established a cross trained employee work force of 35 operators of varying skill sets.
  • Tracked daily productivity performance metrics, took action as required to continuously improve.
  • Monitored operations to ensure that staff members are fully trained, complied with administrative policies, procedures, safety rules, union contracts, and government regulations, audited inspection products & tasks to ensure completeness.
  • Aided and helped align work priorities while at Little Rock AFB for approx. 1,300 skilled various maintenance specialists.
  • Negotiated with engineering and UAW regarding changes and planned new work, as well as balancing work instructions for a mixed model assembly line.

Quality / Reliability

  • Used Weilbull distribution data analysis to illustrate material types, tolerances, and other variables to Engineering.
  • Established SPC limits, collecting product quality data investigating hundreds of test machine reports on manufactured assemblies, to drive manufacturing and design improvements.
  • Director of ISO 9001:2015 inspection labs, following compliance with ISO 17025:2017 created destructive testing & First Article Inspection guidelines.
  • Created Certificate Of Compliance guidelines for many products, established Design of Experiments testing solutions.
  • Determined acceptable level’s of risk via (D/P-FMEA’s) Design / Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis, or (DFMA) Design For Manufacturability and Assembly aspects of Quality.
  • Audited suppliers manufacturing and management capabilities to ISO9001-2015 ensuring smooth quality supply chain.
  • Executed my role in all stages of APQP (Advance Product Quality Planning) to aid in large new product platforms.
  • Drove warranty claims down after 5year uptrend, achieving improvements, in complex electrical Asian Supply chain and design by visiting 7 factories.
  • Primary investigator of high dollar warranty claims, driving corrective action and continuous improvement on related products.

Manufacturing Engineering

  • Leader of new product test machine design team, establishing and gathering requirements from engineering, quality, manufacturing, and customer, as justifications for design and build of new machine valued in excess of $2million sourced from various vendors to ensure economical and modern effective machine design for sub assembly testing.
  • Planned work in accordance with MTM (Methods Time Measurement) machine capacity, production schedules, and anticipated delays.

Volunteer Activities Community Service

  • Past Adjutant Commander American Legion Post #725, Treynor, Iowa.
  • Organized Hurricane Katrina relief effort collecting and delivering 7 thousand pounds of food, water and supplies from local community to drop off point.
  • Personally contributed to Food Banks annually, volunteered many hours for Habit For Humanity.
