As a dedicated third-year nursing student at Baldwin Wallace University, I bring valuable hands-on experience through clinical rotations in both skilled nursing and Long-Term Acute Care settings, specifically in a Medical Surgical Unit. My responsibilities have encompassed a wide range of crucial tasks, including: checking patient vital signs, maintaining patient physical hygiene, conducting thorough head-to-toe assessments, and administering various medications through different routes such as oral, sublingual, buccal, nasal solutions, ophthalmic drops, tube feedings, subcutaneous injection, intradermal injection, and intramuscular injection. Additionally, I have gained proficiency in Foley and straight catheter placement, as well as providing meticulous wound care. My commitment extends to ensuring accurate patient charting to maintain a comprehensive record of care. Through these experiences, I have developed strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and a compassionate approach to patient care.
