Statement of Goals

My decision to pursue a Master of Business Administration is driven by my passion for sports management, leadership, and business development. With a bachelor’s degree in Sports Management and Recreation, I have developed a strong foundation in the sports industry and an understanding of the organizational, operational, and leadership skills necessary for success. By earning a master’s degree in business, I hope to strengthen my knowledge of finance, management, marketing, and strategic planning, allowing me to achieve my long-term professional goals.

One of my primary career goals is to work in the front office of a professional sports organization or serve as an Athletic Director at the collegiate level. Throughout my academic and professional experiences, I have developed a passion for the business side of sports, including organizational management, budgeting, revenue generation, marketing, and strategic decision-making. I am particularly interested in helping sports organizations operate efficiently while creating positive experiences for athletes, coaches, fans, and stakeholders. I believe that an MBA will provide me with the advanced business knowledge and leadership skills necessary to contribute to the success of a professional sports franchise or collegiate athletic department.

In addition to my interest in sports administration, I am also motivated by the opportunity to continue my family’s entrepreneurial legacy. My father owns a successful vending company, and another long-term goal of mine is to eventually assume a leadership role within the business. As the industry continues to evolve, I see opportunities to expand operations, develop new business partnerships, increase revenue streams, and improve overall efficiency. The knowledge and skills gained through an MBA program will equip me to make informed business decisions, manage growth strategically, and lead the company toward continued success.

Whether my career path leads me to sports administration or entrepreneurship, both goals share a common foundation: leadership, innovation, and business excellence. I am eager to enhance my abilities as a manager and decision-maker while gaining a deeper understanding of how successful organizations operate and grow. A Master’s in Business will provide me with the tools, experiences, and professional network necessary to achieve these aspirations and make meaningful contributions to whichever organization I serve.

I am excited for the opportunity to continue my education and further develop the skills that will allow me to become an effective leader in both the sports industry and the business community. I am confident that this program will prepare me to achieve my professional goals while making a positive impact on the organizations and individuals I work with throughout my career.
