I'm a passionate, curious learner. Whether it's a new sport or a fascinating college course, I have energy to move the world forward. I see opportunities to make things better, more vibrant and dynamic. Between Scouts (formerly Boy Scouts), school and church, I have completed 200 service hours and helped feed at least 2,000 people in need between making lunches for the homeless, the annual Scouting food drive and volunteering at the Marin food bank. My family is full of preachers, teachers and foreign missionaries. During my church mission trip to the Mexico border, we spent a week sleeping on a derelict church floor so that we could help the families that live outside in a homeless "car community" in a Walmart parking lot. This is a large community of homeless families working to establish a foothold in life while living in their cars. I have a lot of energy to help. What matters to me is living life well, helping others, having fun and staying positive. It's a big world out there.
