“Dancing Boys & Girls”
Culminating Project - TSOTA Senior Project 2013
For my senior culminating project “Dancing Boys and Girls” my partner Kara Dale and I taught 12 dance classes at the Henry T. Schatz branch of the Boys and Girls Club. We worked with kids ages 5 to 15, teaching a variety of dance classes such as hip hop, lyrical, and modern. We assisted the dance staff at the club and learned about being a teacher. We also participated in their December dance recital, and completed our entire project from December 3rd to March 1st. Our project helped us become more than just performers at school, but dance instructors to our surrounding community.
