I worked in pharmacy for almost 30 years, both hospital and retail settings. I developed many skills including the ability to multitask, while maintaining a high level of service, integrity and a strong work ethic. Most recently I have successfully worked from home for ToysRUs and Turbo Tax. I enjoyed both of these and felt like I achieve more than expected from leaders. I was substitute teaching for all grades but focusing more on middle and high school. I most recent job was teaching 9th grade general science. I became deathly ill last February and was hospitalized for over a month. It was recommended that I did not return to this position because the doctors linked my classroom to my illness. I have recently been released to return to work. Therefore, I am currently looking for a remote position. All of my jobs have given me the ability to achieve a wide range of goals and I am prepared to work in a role that is considered to be out of my comfort zone.
I delivered differentiated instruction aligned with district curriculum and state standards while developing engaging lesson plans tailored to diverse learning needs, varied learning styles, and specific IEP or 504 accommodations. By analyzing this data, I continually adjusted my teaching strategies and maintained accurate records for attendance, grades, and instructional documentation. Additionally, I actively collaborated with colleagues and engaged in specialized early childhood professional development to refine support plans and meet academic goals, all while maintaining open communication with parents and guardians regarding student performance updates.
