  • As a part of the 'Wrangler' crew, we were in charge of feeding and watering horses every day, sleeping near them (without tents so we were fully prepared if there was a predator nearby), packing up guests' belongings into wagons, packing up camp to move to the next location, and setting up the next camp, entertaining guests the entire time, and having the opportunity to fall in love the the wilderness around you.
  • Aid in stacking/hauling alfalfa for horses that stay at the camps
  • Food prep - we learned how to prep for 40+ guests: (shop for, cook, provide shelter, and aid if an emergency arose)

Owner/Operator of Mowing Business

Macy Rankin
Ashton , ID
05.2012 - 11.2019

My older brother and I started a Lawn Care business (Rankin Yard Care) when we were younger as a summer gig. With every year it developed, we gained more and more clientele. It was instrumental in helping us learn importance of communication skills, money management, public relations, and being self motivated to go out and do our best at every job-site. While doing this I was able to gain a lot of skills, some including:

  • Established long-term relationships with customers by promoting great service and engagement skills and quickly resolving issues.
  • Proper use and maintenance of equipment.
  • Time management and readiness for each day.
  • I learned how to shift from being a co-owner with my brother to an employer for my hired help when Ben left on a church mission.
  • I developed a sincere love for the clients we had and stay in contact with a lot of my little old ladies that we'd mow for
