I am a driven and steadfast university student with a passion for storytelling, creativity, and the splendor of human achievement. Throughout my high school career, I excelled in the field of creative writing–– publishing multiple essays and short stories, earning awards for my work, and producing a 90-minute, live broadcast sketch comedy show. My brief career as a summer camp counselor was built off a lifelong love of childhood education, and I am certain I provided a safe, energizing environment for all of my campers. My future, however, lies in screenwriting, and I have spent most of my time in the past three years building a handsome portfolio of over 40 screenplays.
Led a group of twenty 6-8 year olds through daily games, lessons, and activities (anything from basketball to watercolor)
Chaperoned large group field trips (200+ total campers) around Orange County twice a week. Ensured campers remained safe, engaged, and supervised throughout all excursions.
Managed conflict, both internal and external. Most of our daily work was supporting the kids through their emotional turmoil. Very few were equipped to leave their parents for so long every day.
Coordinated with a team of 15 other counselors, working in groups of 2-4 to lead each caste of campers. Collaborated with my coworkers to set up activities, organize field trips, manage discipline, check the kids in/out for the day, and clean the entire camp every night.
1. OCSA - Unleashed (Head Writer and Producer)
A 75-minute sketch comedy production. I led the entire project through its second year of existence, alongside my faculty mentor from OCSA's Creative Writing department. My role was to lead the writers room through the development of 8 - 10 sketches (and a news segment), and ensure that the integrity of the humor would be maintained throughout production.
2. Taskmaster: For You (Producer and Director)
