Summary

I’m a very hard worker in the sense that I hardly leave a task unfinished and take pride/joy in the quality of work I do. I have the ability to work with a team or dependability to work by myself, without having to be checked in with by team leads, to complete a task at hand. I've had a love for animals for as long as I can remember, so many of my jobs have been centered around that love. I also love outdoors and don’t mind getting dirty or lifting/ moving heavy objects.

Guest Assistant- Leader on Duty

Petco
08.2018 - 02.2023
  • I was hired into Petco as an aquatic specialist and kept this title for about 6 months. After about 6-8 months I was promoted to guest assistant LOD and was granted my own set of store keys. In this position, I both opened and closed the store. Closing the store included responsibilities such as closing out and counting the registers, ensuring all the animals had sufficient food and water to last them the evening, filing the days paperwork and earnings, and arming/locking the store. Opening included tasks such as recounting and starting up the registers, printing and prepping any paperwork for the day, and feeding all animals (small animals, birds, reptiles, and fish). Thursday mornings I changed small animal bedding and Sundays I changed reptile's. I've helped stock shelves every Friday when the merchandise shipment arrived, was in charge of snake feeding every Monday, cared for animals in our wellness room, assembled store displays, helped run inventory counts, cashed customers out at our registers, etc. This was a busy position with opportunities to do many things that I wasn't accustomed to and I loved it! I learned so much from talking with and helping customers every day finding what they need, educating them on pet nutrition, and piecing together habitats for their new pets. Working closely with these animals deepened my love and appreciation for them. This was a great job and an amazing experience.
  • Started back at Petco November of 2020 at the Daphne location and moved over to the Mobile location early 2022.

  • Followed effective process for bathing and grooming dogs to remove dirt, loose hair, parasites, and hair mats.
  • Cleaned and maintained kennel areas for optimized hygiene, including cages, runs and yards.
  • Trained new staff on kennel maintenance, animal care and feeding protocols.
  • Monitored animals for behavioral problems and signs of health issues.
  • Prepared and administered medications and treatments as prescribed by veterinarian.
  • Washed, trimmed, and brushed animals to maintain good grooming standards.
  • Kept cages, kennels, play yards, and grooming areas neat and clean.

Temporary Retail Associate

Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo
06.2020 - 10.2020
  • In this position I did simple cashiering duties in the gift shop as well as man other stations around the zoo; zip line, mining station, kiddie train ride, carousel, giraffe feeding ticket counter, etc. This was such a fun job and I enjoyed being outside

Dog Walker

Rover.com
01.2017 - 07.2020
  • Rover is a great dog sitting/walking/etc. app where I can work on my own time. Clients contact me asking me with the profile of their pets, asking if I'd be available for whatever service they were requesting for whatever time. The pet services I offer are house sitting, where I would stay at a client's house while they were away. This is common for people that have pets that need more attention such as puppies or senior dogs. I do 30 minute or hour long drop in visits with pets where I play with them, feed them, walk them, etc. This is typically done when clients are away for a day or work long shifts. I also offer 30 minute to 1 hour long dog walking services. I've met lots of interesting people and have kept quite a few repeat clients through Rover. It's a fun way to play with and meet new dogs when it's convenient for me.

Counter Server/Cashier

Newk's Eatery
03.2017 - 08.2018
  • I started off as a cashier and counter server, taking guest's orders and bringing them food. I ventured off into other positions while at Newk's such as making salads on the salad line, preparing and delivering catering orders with the company van, and running the assembly (expo) making sure orders were made on time, correctly, and calling for food runners. Those are the official positions I mastered, but I filled in a little bit everywhere at Newk's from helping prep at the back of the house to filling in on the sandwich line.

Cashier

Food Lion
06.2014 - 11.2016
  • As a cashier for my first job at 16, I learned the people skills I would need for customer service
