Madeline Van Aken

Passionate and driven scientist, working towards a degree in Human Biology with interest and experience in Medical Physics and Global Health. Eager to participate in research surrounding various medical/scientific fields, seeking mentally stimulating opportunities related to the same. Trying to heighten the youth's accessibility to STEM education and experiences. Running the Instagram page @letstalkstem, in efforts to promote science to impressionable minds. Striving to answer the unknowns of humanity and of the earth, needing to make the unknown known.

As a prodigy of scientific discipline, I began working with two systems engineers affiliated with Xerox from ages 10-12. I have conceptualized two main inventions during my time with them (a collar for arthritic animals following the principles of lateral undulation to target and relieve inflammation AND a disability accommodation device to assist with height challenges faced by those suffering from dwarfism). My current state of affairs consists of independently theorizing and experimenting with the creation of a new, modified type of Daniell Cell Battery.
