Camp in Motion: AAC camp- Round Rock, Texas: Summer 2025

I served as a camp leader at Camp in Motion, where I worked with a client on the autism spectrum. Through this experience, I gained hands-on experience supporting an AAC device user and learned strategies for engaging individuals with diverse behavioral and communication differences.

West Oaks Nursing & Rehabilitation Externship: Speech Therapy Student- Austin, Texas: Fall 2025

I worked in this skilled nursing facility as a speech therapy student where I provided treatment and conducted evaluations for patients in the facility. I gained experience in cognition, language, social aspects, and swallowing/dysphagia.

Volunteer Intern, Connections Speech Language Therapy- Boerne, Texas: Summer 2023

I shadowed with licensed speech therapists. I was able to observe their techniques and interactions with adolescent clients of various diagnoses (e.g. apraxia of speech, articulation disorder, speech sound disorder, pragmatics, expressive/receptive language, etc.) and developed a deeper understanding of various cases and the private practice setting.

I shadowed with licensed speech therapists. I was able to observe their techniques and interactions with adolescent clients/patients and family members.

Research Assistant, Communication Sciences and Disorders Department, Baylor University- Waco, Texas: Fall, 2023

I was selected by Professor Brittany Perrine, Ph.D. to serve as a research assistant during the Fall semester. I participated in the CSD research lab regarding examining vocal characteristics of professional voice users, specifically Baylor Professional Sales students, to determine how speech and voice features (e.g., pitch, tone, pace) influence sales performance and listener perception.

Volunteer, J.H. Hines Elementary School- Waco, TX: August 2022-November 2022

I provided after-school care to students at the elementary school, fostering a supportive environment that encouraged communication, social interaction, and age-appropriate development. Gained experience working with diverse learners and collaborating with teachers to support student needs.

I served as a Team Leader for several summers at a church, spending a week with children and supervising them through various activities.
