Awards

As a graphic design student at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, I completed a Capstone project titled “The Things Beneath a Girl’s Surface.” The project featured interactive posters that revealed hidden emotions—like sadness, creativity, fear, and love—highlighting the complex inner world girls often keep hidden. It aimed to foster empathy, challenge emotional stigma, and promote emotional literacy. I received the Myers B. and Martha H. Cather Excellence in Design Award, along with a $1,000 prize, awarded to one outstanding Graphic Design student per Capstone exhibition.
