I am currently attending nursing school at The University of Texas at Tyler, aiming to earn my Bachelor of Science in Nursing by early 2027. After graduation, I plan to work at the Houston Medical Center while pursuing further education at UT Health, working toward my master's and doctorate degrees. My ultimate goal is to become a Pediatric Hematology Oncologist, a career that is personal to me due to my own medical history, I had an enlarged hemangioma covering a quarter of my body, which required three years of life support, multiple airway surgeries, chest tubes, a feeding tube, and chemotherapy. My dream is to work at the Primary Children's Hospital in Utah, where I received my treatment.
Growing up, I was an All-Star competitive cheerleader as well as a high school cheerleader. Cheerleading has taught me discipline, responsibility, and leadership. Additionally, I found the love and passion that i truly have of working with and helping children of all ages. An example of this is I coached a team designed to support and include athletes with disabilities including, but not limited to, autism and down syndrome. Additionally, I coached a sideline cheer team for young athletes from the ages of four to seven, and tumbling classes for athletes from the ages of three to thirteen.
I was a competitive cheerleader for fifteen years and a high school cheerleader for four years. During high school cheer, we volunteered in the community by hosting pep rallies at elementary schools and making appearances at little league baseball games. Currently, I am a member of UT Tyler's NSNA (National Student Nurses Association). I also coached many athletes, encouraging them to achieve their goals and better themselves.
