Hi! I am a dynamic and motivated junior at Augustana University of Sioux Falls pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience, with a strong record of leadership, research, and community involvement.
My studies have deepened my understanding of the brain’s complexity and strengthened my interest in how biochemical and neural processes influence cognition and behavior. Through my coursework, I’ve developed a foundation in neurobiology, cognitive neuroscience, and behavioral science while gaining hands on laboratory experience. This semester, I am conducting research on the positive effects of creatine supplementation on the brain, exploring its role in enhancing memory and other cognitive functions in older adults. Looking ahead in the 2026-2027 school year, I am preparing for investigating autism in mice and how those findings can help better understand neural mechanisms in the human brain.
Beyond academics, I have demonstrated consistent leadership and service. I was selected as one of 25 participants from a pool of over 5,000 for Greyhound Connections, where I hosted campus events, led tours, and helped welcome new students. I earned two senior-year leadership awards recognizing excellence in both basketball and academics, reflecting my commitment to teamwork and team success, perseverance, and balance. Currently, I serve as co-president of the Special Olympics Intramural Team, fostering inclusion, mentorship, and meaningful engagement within educational and athletic environments.
