  • Operates a series of laser machines in order to etch product per print
  • Operates an EMS 400 XYZ as well as a Zetalase XLT laser
  • Collaborates with other employees about etches, if there is any issues
  • Uploads set up sheets per print into a system called MyQummas, which communicates with another system called Mililase in order to properly download and run laser
  • Sets up laser, using X, Y, and Z increments
  • Examples include height, width, and depth of where product needs to be lasered using calipers and a depth gauge when applicable
  • Changes font height to match print when necessary
  • Changes settings to tape settings and applies etchable tape to product for verifying where the etch will be to create less scrapped materials
  • Moves etch, if necessary, to match location per print
  • Etches product per specifications located on prints
  • Finishes etching order until order is completed and moves order onto the next listed job step.
