Magaly Loza Manjarrez

As a freshman in college today, and a newly graduated student, I have learned the importance of resilience. I am able to create a safe environment around myself, as well as new friendships, and learn how to effectively communicate with those around me. As a first-generation student in my family, I strive to always put my best foot forward, no matter the situation.

• During the last two years of my high school experience I was a part of dance company where determination was key. Learning to communicate with my peers not only verbally but physically through movement. This company taught me so much about myself, how to push myself to the my own limit, how to expect defeat but also how to grow from it.
