I would like to be considered for the wearhouse worker position at The Steel Yard. I am very passionate about working with metal and am currently halfway through a welding certification program with Southwest Technical College. The program is currently on hold to allow myself to be available for working shifts
My work experience, is mainly in the healthcare industry as Registered Nurse for the last 7 years, however, I am looking to leave the healthcare industry eventually become a welder. I am aware that a wearhouse helper position will be a pay cut for me, however, i am ready to start a different career and very willing and humble to be starting from the bottom again, I am sponge, very teachable and trainable. I do not have forklift experience, but am willing to immediately obtain an OSHA forklift certification if hired.
I and physically fit and able to lift 50lb, and also a climber and runner. Work experience outside of healthcare include: installing above ground swimming pools in PA many years ago, and installing Christmas light in Logan UT many years ago. I have also had experience with disassembling sheds and various yard like work this past year.
I have experience with basic power tools (angle grinders, different types of saws belt sanders, drills etc, and building / disassembling basic wooden structures. I have reliable transport to get to work. I would be honored to become a team member at The Steel Yard, and i intent to be a reliable and long term employee if i get hired. I understand the time and. Cost of training people. If you put the time and energy into training me, i will return it with loyalty and hard work for the company. I am looking for long term employment, not just a random temporary position, Waiting to hear back from you.
