Hobbies and Interests

Tinkering with and disassembling electrical systems used in automobiles like radios, speedometers, and display screens to learn how they work.

Projects

Transmission Lines – Microstrip Patch Antenna:

  • Utilized Analog Digital Systems (ADS) to design and then simulate a circuit to analyze values.
  • Quantitatively analyzed values including impedances, reflection co-efficient, and phases through Smith Charts.
  • Using stubs, mixed elements, and purely lumped elements to impedance match ideal transmission lines to gain maximum power delivery.

Renewable Energy Sources - Solar

  • Designed multiple Solar-wind-battery microgrids using the program SAM (System Advisor Model); my designs met specifications like load, generation, and storage.
  • Wrote a paper in IEEE format on self-healing SMART grids; the paper discussed the advantages of self-healing SMART grids over traditional power grids, such as improved reliability, reduced downtime, and improved security. It also discussed the challenges of implementing such a system, such as the high cost and complexity of the technology.
