As a toddler teacher, I create and implement age-appropriate, play-based lessons that help children develop their language, motor, social, and problem-solving skills. I make sure the classroom is always safe, clean, and organized while supervising children at all times, both indoors and outdoors, and following all safety procedures. I work to build trusting, nurturing relationships with the children, supporting their emotional growth and encouraging skills like sharing, cooperation, and self-regulation. I observe and document their developmental milestones, communicate with parents about their progress and needs, and work closely with other staff to provide consistent care and instruction. I also manage daily routines, use positive guidance for behavior, prepare engaging learning materials, and follow all state childcare regulations.
