Makayla Runyon

I am a 17-year-old internationally published author as well as blogger. I perform pieces of my writing at forensics competitions with my school team. I work well with others and children, especially those with behavioral issues. I do great in leadership positions, I have been a camp counselor, a stage manager for my high school productions, president of my freshman class, and president of my student council my senior year. I am very involved in my community with 1,003 service hours varied over different areas of work. I did a service project that included designing and painting giant flower pots that are distributed throughout my community. I enjoy challenging myself with different areas of study. Experiencing cultures and meeting new people is something that I am passionate about doing. I plan to utilize my GAP year to do mission work internationally.

I write mostly fictional stories, both short stories and novel length. I write poetry from time to time and blog about basic societal concepts. I write essays and letters to other people for pleasure. My latest book is 320 pages, considered fantasy, YA fiction, that is set in current day setting with medieval twists. Currently I am working on the sequel to my latest book and plan on writing two more after.
