I am a 20 year old MSU student. I am currently a sophomore, while doing summer courses. I have a major in criminal justice, and after I take an introduction course in social work, I will have a minor relating to social work. My passion is being able to help kids who are less fortunate because I was one of them at a younger time in my life.
At Greenline, I called alumni to talk about their experience at MSU, connected with them, and raised money for MSU through alumni. I worked on a team, bonded with my coworkers and built on my knowledge and experience of being able to communicate with people on a personal level. I would work 2-4 days a week while in school and it allowed me to have a better grasp for having a work and life balance. I was able to raise money for the food bank, the mental health clinic’s on campus, for housing for students, and so many more funds that helped the students at MSU. I was able to talk with people who had a social work major and get a better grasp of the reality of the job.
