A memorial scholarship dedicated to well-known member of Sarasota County, Father Connie Dougherty, a faithful priest of the community who delivered inspiring invocations at governmental sessions, service clubs, sporting events, school graduations, welfare fund drives and circuses. This scholarship fund was established to further his contributions as a perpetual trust to facilitate the education of deserving young people of all race, color, creed, sex and national origin.
Florida Bright Futures Scholarship Recipient

A 4-year renewable scholarship funded by the state of Florida, provided based on high school academic achievement. This program has different award levels, each with its own eligibility criteria and award amounts. The award level personally received is the Academic Scholars award.
