• Using a YSI apparatus; recorded pH, depth, and turbidity of each water sample
• Conducted both a quadrant sample and visual tactile search for mussels at each field site (25 per site respectively)
• Manually entered recorded data into excel spreadsheets
• Shucked every mussel collected throughout the entire summer/fall
• Cut, glued, labeled, and sanded small slivers of each collected mussel onto a glass slide
• Inspected each completed glass slide under a microscope to gather an expected age range based on characteristics.
