• Study Abroad in South Africa Studying Zoo Medicine (May 2024): I spent 64 veterinary hours studying avian and mammalian species, including birds of prey, large and small cats, and primates. I learned about anatomy, handling, medical care in captivity, behavior, and conservation strategies. This hands-on program provided valuable insights into animal welfare and conservation efforts.
• Pre-Veterinary Society at Texas State University (2022- Present): I'm an engaged member of a pre-professional student organization in veterinary medicine, connecting with industry leaders for insights and networking. I also support local veterinary events and broader community service, enriching both my professional growth and our societal impact.
