Work History

Supervisor

PJ Trailers
02.2024 - Current
  • Plan out each line and or bay to build the units that we need built per-day.
  • Order parts accordingly to present and future tickets for better work flow.
  • Manage the welders and make sure productivity is prompt.
  • Brain storm better ideas to better manage the shop considering the shop I manage is a custom trailer facility.
  • Collect data, and fill out reports to track decreases and increases in the progress of my individual shop.
  • Have meetings and or discuss and work with other departments if and when an issue occurs, That way we can resolve the issues in a timely fashion.
  • Making the work space one team and one job has really impacted my shop making everyone accountable. From the Quality control, forklift drivers, welders, lead, and then myself as a supervisor. We complete the job, not individual units. We complete all units as one manufacturing shop.
  • Lastly, as a supervisor. I am a QC, forklift driver, welder and all in one lead and supervisor. That's my job description as a PJ Trailer supervisor.

Welder

PJ Trailers
06.2020 - 02.2024

When I started working for PJ Trailers in june of 2020, I started working in the gooseneck shop called tx1 and them 3 years later I moved to Dump shop which is called TX3 and finally I moved to TX2 but not as a welder, but as a supervisor.

  • As a welder, my duties were to weld and complete trailers. In Tx1 I would simply have to just move materials from the rack and onto the fixture and make sure nothing was wrong with the material and then weld. and of course keep my work space clean.
  • As a welder, in tx3 I was working the front of the line. My duties were to make the parts that we needed to hold the dump trailer up. So keeping parts made. I was working at the front of the line, so I was responsible for welding the floor and fenders and putting the front of the dump on and bottom of the dump floor and safety body props and lastly putting on the rear double door assembly.
  • This was my duties as a welder. Keeping work space clean, completing tasks and or units and keeping up and inspecting the parts we used on a day to day.

Welder

Maxxy D Trailers
11.2017 - 06.2020
  • I built gooseneck assemblies and risers and toolboxes. I would often have to use the crane hoist and get my own material. Moving the completed necks outside would require me to drive the forklift.
  • I would often have to use torch and or plasma and grinder and or cutting wheel to disassemble or reassemble parts.
  • cleanliness was a big factors in my area due to the location of it. Heave foot traffic near my work station so upper management would always let my supervisor know once my area was getting out of hand.

Welder and Plasma Operator and Forklift Operator

Load Trailer
10.2013 - 06.2017
  • At first I was working as a plasma helper, I would use a suction cupped device to latch onto a metal sheet then load it onto the plasma table. Then I would wait until the program was done cutting the material. Then I would remove the skeleton left overs of the metal plate. Then the forklift driver would bring a box or pallet depending on the material that would be coming off the plasma table at the time. Over time, we would lose a forklift driver or lose a machine operator. We would get behind on orders and we would have to work weekend. I ended up loading the table, starting the program and taking the material off and putting it on pallets and or boxes and taking the scrap outside with the forklift. I then became the all in one plasma machine operator and soon had people helping me with my previous duties as a helper.
  • Later on I wanted to generate more money as a young adult, I started welding on my lunch breaks to try and become a full time welder. I did just that and before the year was up I was welding small dumps until I went to a different company for different opportunities.
