Malaki Chatmon

• I assisted primarily in the installation of heating and air conditioning systems. I became more familiar with the air conditioner side in this workplace. On occasion, I was also in a few situations where I had to diagnose a system with faults. I also helped run a new dryer vent and bath fan exhaust. In this workplace, I have found myself to be better with pipe fitting, certain electrical tasks for furnaces and air conditioners, as well as safely maneuvering equipment. I still have to practice more with drawing and building sheet metal. I also had to work on overthinking less and putting more of my thoughts into action. Unfortunately, I was laid off due to the slow season. Pro-Air didn't have enough for me to do as the weather cooled, due to it being a smaller company.

• I was originally hired at Spee-Dee as a full-time warehouse package handler. In this position, I scanned, sorted, loaded, and unloaded packages. All of this required me to be efficient so that the job could be done correctly in a timely manner. Loading and unloading packages in the semi trailers required me to build good stacking skills, similar to the game called Tetris. We also had to do chores within the shop in our spare time to stay active and to keep our work environment clean, safe, and organized. In half a year, I got promoted to a route driver. I was tasked with the same scanning, sorting, loading, and unloading task as a package handler. I typically spent an hour unloading the overnight semi trucks before I went to my delivery van. Next, I had to load my deliveries for the day while using my PAD to scan them out for delivery. I delivered standard items, alcohol beverages, hazardous materials, and agriculture equipment parts. I took the time and was trained to know and learn the risks of delivering these different items to people's homes and businesses. It was the same deal for knowledge of traveling on different kinds of roads in different conditions. At the end of the day, I was tasked to refuel the vehicle, clean any spills, mark and log any missed packages, upload data, and turn in any paperwork.

• I was hired originally as a part-time host to seat people according to server rotation, and I was occasionally responsible for organizing and bagging to-go orders in the back. The hosts are also responsible for taking phone calls and reservations. I was later trained to bus tables, but I was also responsible for rolling silverware, keeping the floor clean, restocking certain items, and sometimes assisting the servers.

• I was a maintenance worker that primarily focused on the heating and cooling systems of the ministry’s church campuses, houses, apartment complexes, and workshop. Whenever the HVAC was up to date on maintenance and didn’t need fixed, I help the general maintenance guys with their assignments, and occasionally the administration office workers.

A hard working lube technician that assisted customers in keeping their vehicles maintained by changing engine oil and performing tire checks and rotations. Also consistent with helping others, keeping shop area neat and clean, and working as a team.

Assisted with installation of Heating and Cooling systems, as well as flexible ducts for bath fans mostly in new construction, but also in people's homes. Also assisted with maintenance and diagnosing on service calls.

• Scrubbed pots, pans and trays by hand and cleaned using industrial washing machine. Also cleaned out & sanitized refrigerators, cleaned floors, as well as cleaning and sanitizing the food tables for cutting meat and vegetables.
