Assisted in maintaining healthy smiles for patients during senior year of high school as an intern under Baldy View Regional Occupational Program (BVROP) in Ontario, CA. Completed program requirements and obtained permission to perform dental work under supervision of Registered Dental Assistant (RDA). Seeking opportunities to broaden experience and secure steady income while preparing for future career advancements.
Through my experiences, I have become successful at building relationships with patients and colleagues. I have learned how I can offer my expertise in patient care and education to support optimal oral health outcomes. I am dedicated to supporting professional assistance for the dentist and patient requirements. I do what I can and continue how I can be upbeat and professional in all interactions.
One of my accomplishments include graduating from the RDA program, and learning how to perform each of the processes required for oral hygiene and wellness under the RDA licensure. This required me to practice and master each dental skill, such as x-rays, coronal polishing, sealants, chair-side assisting, adhering to OSHA, and many more.
During my high school career, while I was searching for the right career for me,
I took a year-long course for peer-counseling. In this course, I was able to self reflect on myself and learn how to improve as a friend, partner, family member, and become more well-rounded over-all. This course taught me skills I can use in every day life, such as how I speak to people, how to be a good listener, use attentive body language, and how to make decisions on the spot even when an answer seems unclear. I also learned to carry these skills with me into my career, to help provide better care and attention for patients.
