Checked in to this unit immediately after leaving the Infantry Marine Course schoolhouse. The eight year contract signed prior to joining this unit entails six years of active participation then the final two years inactive. Participation consists of attending monthly drill sessions which can last from 2-5 days at a time. These drill sessions can vary from physical fitness tests, aptitude training seminars, administration duties, and most importantly fire-team field exercises.
Also included is the Annual Training event which takes place once a year during either the late spring or early summer. It is typically held at a distant location for approximately two weeks.
Other aspects of this job to consider are the additional training courses/exercises that are obligatory to attend at various military bases across the country (normally spanning a few days to a few weeks once every other year or so depending on the course/exercise), and deployments, which can last several months at a time and can be expected once or even twice per an eight year contract, but is not guaranteed.
Participated in and passed the Infantry Marine Course located at Camp Geiger, NC, which prepares the infantry Marine in a general overview of the skills and knowledge needed to perform this job. These include:
I put myself in the position to completely reinvent what it means to be psychologically and physically disciplined. We were taught every aspect of the Marine Corps through it's history and traditions, fitness standards, and especially team building exercises.

Jim (General Contractor) (413) 615-9331
This company bought distressed houses in the Mandeville area to be remodeled and sold for a profit. I took on this job to gain more knowledge and insight into the construction field as that was where my interests were at the time right after my college career went on hold. I learned a lot in the short time I worked there through assisting the GC with anything that needed to be done.

Throughout this period I've done my own invoicing, created and completed my own schedules, and maintained, along with the other maintenance crews, over twenty different commercial properties in the Baton Rouge area.
