I learned early that talent alone does not open doors in sports; understanding systems, structure, and advocacy does. Working directly with youth athletes in underfunded communities showed me how many capable athletes lack guidance in navigating sports programs, resources, and representation. Through hands-on experience in recreation leadership and boxing-based youth development, that realization led me to major in Sports Management, where I can academically develop the skills needed to support athletes beyond competition. At this stage, I am actively seeking experiences that allow me to continue developing my sports management skills, learning from every opportunity, and gaining practical knowledge in program operations, athlete support, and leadership. My long-term goal is to attend law school and legally represent athletes, combining sports management experience with legal training to promote equity, opportunity, and justice in athletics.
