Mexican, born 1981
Living in USA since 2009
Begin my experiences as an artist very recently since the pandemic started. Being a mom of two girls and working from home for my family business I thought I didn’t have enough time for other activities but when the Covid-19 started we were locked up at home and having more free time, so I asked my older sister who is an oil painter artist in Mexico, to give me virtual painting lessons.
I believe that being an artist is something that one is born to do and not learned at school, I went on to study through practical experience, learning through trial and error and self-learning studying the works my sister as my teacher.
Since my very first lesson I knew I have the talent and I absolutely love it! Starting that moment, I haven’t stopped painting and my technique has been evolved trying different paints and mediums.
I have been living in USA since 2009, 10 years in NJ/NY where I had the opportunity to go to multiple galleries and 3 years in Palm Beach, Florida. My home has become my studio!
I can either paint with oil or acrylic but acrylic, gold leaf and mediums are my favorite.
It was a commissioned artwork for the Raab Family residency
