Company Overview: Axios HQ is Al-powered software that helps organizations manage their essential communicationsA three year old SaaS start-up that spun from Axios Media. Axios HQ split from Axios Media in September 2022 and secured Series A funding in March 2023.

  • Reporting directly to the Chief People Officer, I am Head of Talent Acquisition and a senior leader within the organization.
  • I am responsible for the hiring strategy, process development, and application, making sure to attract and retain top talent.
  • I lead a team of two senior recruiters, one junior recruiter, and two coordinators on all GTM, Product, Tech, and G&A roles. I act as a player/coach, leading them to their individual goals, while taking ownership of executive-level recruiting.
  • Along with leading talent acquisition, I serve as a leader within People Operations and am responsible for influencing company-wide policies that affect DEI, culture, retention, policy enhancement, and overall employee satisfaction.
  • I own and operate the companies' Talent Management function, including training and development.
  • Worked with the COO and CPO to create a headcount budget per department and led the recruiting team to hit the headcount goal in 2022, 2023, and pacing in 2024.
  • In the first 90 days, I hired and onboarded 4 of 5 direct reports while building HQ's hiring process asynchronously.
  • Acted as interim VP, People from Oct 2022 to April 2023 while leading the external search for VP, People.
  • Promoted junior recruiter to People Generalist, and both coordinators to People + Talent Coordinators to better serve the needs of the business.
  • Decreased time to fill from 77 days to 46 days over 2023.
  • Personally led search for all executive searches (Chief Product Officer, Chief Marketing Officer, Chief People Officer, VP of Sales, VP of Account Management) with successful fulfillment within 100 days for each.

  • Fostered a DEI hiring strategy, partnering with vendors and groups to assist in 58% of 2023 and 67% of 2024 hires, representing underrepresented groups.

Company Overview: Townsquare Interactive is an online and digital advertising company specializing in helping small to medium-sized businesses all over the United States with their online presence through website design, search engine optimization, reputation monitoring, and social media campaigns. It is a part of Townsquare Media Group, which is the third largest broadcasting company in the United States, with over 300 radio stations in close to 70 markets around the US. Townsquare Interactive is the sister company to Townsquare Ignite, which focuses on programmatic media buying at a larger scale across the United States.

  • Reported directly to the President and Senior VP of HR.
  • Responsibilities included leading recruiting strategy for Townsquare Media, Townsquare Ignite, and Townsquare Interactive; training and developing the team through KPI goal setting and management; measuring department headcount performance; implementing attrition and retention strategies; conducting competitive intelligence; and planning and analyzing headcount.
  • Led Townsquare Interactive to budgeted headcount goal for 2021 in the sales and customer service departments, including a 20% growth goal.
  • Took recruiting department from two managers and nine recruiters supporting one business to four managers and 27 recruiters, and two Hiring Managers in six months to support three businesses: Townsquare Media, Interactive, and Ignite.
  • This growth was attributed to the promotion of five internal employees and outside hiring, onboarding, training, and development of new employees.
  • Created interview process for Townsquare Ignite and planned budgeted headcount goal on a monthly basis by assessing attrition and growth expectations.
  • Created interview process for new Inbound Marketing department within Townsquare Interactive, collaborating with VP of Client Retention to forecast and plan for 2022 growth expectations.
  • Strategic partnership with outside vendors on contract extensions and negotiations, as well as meeting with potential new vendors, and pitching these services successfully to company President on ROI.
