• Responsible for all obstetrical staff continuing education, certification, and licensing maintenance, new staff orientation, assisting manager, and unit staffing
• Responsible for new staff orientation

• Skilled leadership of labor staff, assessment capabilities, collaboration, and communication with managers, physicians, patients and ancillary staff, ongoing staffing assessments, precepting, and night shift scheduling
• Voluntarily leading off-site NST clinic as an adjunct to responsibilities

• Responsible for the specialized care of antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients including those with high risk needs
• Assessment of OBED patients to determine health and labor status of mother and fetus

• Responsible for the specialized care of newborn babies from the onset of birth
• Stabilization and resuscitation of neonates after delivery through transition
• Assisting mothers with the initiation and continuation of breastfeeding
